satellite radio will merge and monopolize the satellite radio industry. can mp3 players offer a competition? what do you think?

I have a regular satellite radio receiver for my car (XM) but am thinking of getting the portable one. Does it work well indoors in, say, a mall? Or a supermarket? And how is the reception outside?
