I recently dropped my laptop with the headphones still attached. The result was a broken headphone jack. My problem now is that there is no sound coming from the speakers even though the headphones are no longer connected. I have searched the Sony support website to no avail, they only offer solutions for a fee. Any info or insight would be greatly appreciated. : ) BTW the model number is VGN-AR720e, just in case. did you try diabling the headset jack and leaving the peakers as default
step: 1 right click the volume on the bottom right
step: 2 left click on playback devices
step: 3 and right click on the first one speakers and then click test if you hear a nosie tht is wht you want
step: 4 go and right click the rest of them and click disable
